Growing up in Charleston all we had on our minds was getting on the water. When the surf wasn't ridable the next best use of disposable time was fishing. Owner and Head guide Jacob Dye quickly became infatuated with fly fishing and the sight casting opportunities that the Lowcountry has to offer. "I always loved paddle boarding for many reasons but hadn't linked fishing together with the activity." During college Captain Jacob worked at Odyssey Board Shop on Shem creek and remembered the eco tours he would give, the Sheer freedom, and the ease of sneaking around the hazardous marsh and stalking fish. In his adult life Jacob paddles for overall physical and mental health "My body would feel good from the paddle board workout, my mind was comatose from the beautiful marsh, and the task of hunting fish made me tune out the world and be right where my feet were, no where else. I was hooked, the rest is history."
